ABOUT ME

Kidnapped at 13

I was born and raised in Orange County, California in a very abusive home and as a young girl was kidnapped, trafficked and forced to use drugs as a means of control. Months after my abduction, I escaped by jumping out of a vehicle while on the freeway, a full blown addict. Not able to escape the torture I endured, ended up on the streets of Los Angeles, in gang infested areas and worked the streets of Figeuroa to support my addiction. In and out of jails and foster homes, I met Ashley Standish Higgins who became my best friend and it is her story that I tell today...

2 tragic stories with 2 very different endings. You see I am the 1% that got out of the life, got off drugs, went to college and whose life has changed because I found my identity in Christ and because of those who saw something in me and invested in my future, but Ashley's story ended. Until now...

Please read details of Ashley's disappearance and partner with me in keeping her legacy alive, one girl at a time.

Details of Disappearance

Higgins was last seen in Costa Mesa, California on November 6, 1982.  She had graduated from Newport Harbor High School a year earlier and had an apartment in Costa Mesa. When she disappeared, she left her pet dog and cockatiel behind at her apartment.

Higgins and a female friend had gone to Las Vegas, Nevada and then separated. Her friend returned to California without her, and said she didn't know Higgins's whereabouts or that she hadn't returned home.  She has never been heard from again.

Before her disappearance, Higgins was told she would receive an inheritance when she turned forty.  Her fortieth birthday was in 2002, but Higgins never stepped forward to claim the money.  Her disappearance remains unsolved and foul play is suspected.
